Hello there! I’m Chris Farnfield, the Managing Director at Iconology. My journey in the tech world began at the coalface as a third-line technician, where I developed my technical skills and a deep-seated passion for solving complex IT challenges. This experience laid the groundwork for my role today, where I lead our team towards innovative solutions and service excellence.

In my transition from technical roles to leadership, I’ve always believed that understanding the intricacies of technology is as crucial as steering the ship. I bring this blend of hands-on experience and strategic vision to my role at Iconology.

Peter Jenner

Some hires just feel right, and Peter Jenner is definitely one of them.
Peter first crossed paths with our MD Chris back at Pent Valley Technology College, where Peter was a student who spent his spare time helping out in the school’s IT department. Chris was the IT Manager at the time, and even then it was clear Peter had the bug for tech. Fast forward a good few years, and we’re proud to say he’s now part of the Iconology team.
Peter joins us as a 2nd Line Engineer, bringing a wealth of experience across service desk, technical support, and time spent working in the education sector, most recently supporting schools on-site with RM plc. He’s Microsoft 365 certified, endlessly curious, and the kind of engineer who genuinely loves what he does.

Ian Fry

Ian joined Iconology back in February 2024 as an IT Apprentice, and it’s fair to say he hasn’t looked back since.
In just over a year, Ian has worked his way up to 1st Line Engineer, and not just in title. He’s become a genuinely capable member of the team, getting stuck into the day-to-day challenges that come with supporting our clients across Kent and the South East.
We’ve always believed in growing talent from the ground up, and Ian is a great example of what happens when you combine the right person with the right environment. He’s come a long way in a short time, and we’re excited to see where he goes next.

Dylan Coward

Dylan is a great example of what Iconology is all about. He joined us as an IT Apprentice, threw himself into it, and has since earned his place as a Junior Engineer, and we couldn’t be prouder.
Before getting into IT, Dylan built up solid experience in customer service, and it shows. He’s got a natural way with people, communicates brilliantly, and brings a calm, can-do attitude to whatever lands on his desk, whether that’s a user in a panic or a tricky technical challenge.
Dylan is curious, driven, and never shy about getting stuck in. His journey with us is just getting started, and we’re excited to see where it takes him.

Alfie Bailey

Alfie joined Iconology in August 2025 after completing his T Level in IT Support Services. He first worked with us during his college placement, where his curiosity, calm approach, and genuine interest in how things work made a strong impression.
Now a Junior Engineer, Alfie gets involved in a bit of everything. From building and setting up hardware to exploring Linux systems and helping with on-site installations, he has quickly become a reliable and resourceful member of the team.
Alfie’s interest in technology and gaming gives him a creative way of thinking about problems, and he’s always keen to learn something new. His enthusiasm and growing technical skill make him a great addition to the Iconology family.

Arley Gibbons
We’re delighted to welcome Arley to Iconology as our newest IT Apprentice, though if you ask us, he’s already part of the furniture!
Arley first came to us through his T-Level in Digital Support Services at EKC Dover College, completing his industry placement right here at Iconology. He impressed us so much that taking the next step into a full apprenticeship with us was an easy decision for everyone.
Alongside his studies, Arley has been developing brilliant people skills working front of house at Marston’s, and that mix of technical ability and communication is a combination we really value at Iconology.
We’re really excited to support Arley through his apprenticeship journey and see how far he goes.

Anna Smith
Some people just have a natural gift for technology, and Anna Smith is absolutely one of them.
Anna has been part of the Iconology family for over three years, and in that time, she’s become an invaluable member of our team. Whether it’s general IT support, complex Windows Server infrastructure, or bespoke app development, Anna does it all, and does it brilliantly.
With many years of experience supporting SMEs and schools, Anna brings a depth of knowledge that’s genuinely hard to find. She’s the person we turn to when things get technically challenging, and she consistently delivers.
What makes Anna stand out isn’t just her technical ability though, it’s the way she combines it with a warm, approachable manner that puts both colleagues and clients at ease. Incredibly knowledgeable, endlessly helpful, and always happy to get stuck in.

Iconology emerged from a genuine passion for technology, beginning as an Apple solutions specialist. Today, our portfolio encompasses various services, including cyber security, cabling, CCTV, procurement, project management, and comprehensive IT support for Mac and Windows platforms. We also pride ourselves on delivering cutting-edge cloud provider services.
Our legacy features a series of landmark projects, most notably our collaboration with Folkestone Harbour. This project entailed modernising their infrastructure with copper and fibre networks, establishing extensive Wi-Fi coverage, and introducing high-speed internet, telephony, and a robust CCTV solution. Further underlining our global footprint, our involvement with the Race of Champions showcases our capabilities in providing IT support and network solutions in arenas ranging from London to Saudi Arabia.
But what truly distinguishes Iconology is our unwavering commitment to our clients. We prioritise understanding our clients’ distinct challenges, offering bespoke solutions to ensure their technology empowers them. A tireless enthusiasm unites our eclectic team of industry specialists for technological advancements.

Iconology was founded by Stuart Levitt in Kent. Starting out in a porta cabin, our small company focused on Apple Authorised repairs and resells at the time. 🍏

Growing quickly, we moved to The Old Barn in Brabourne near Ashford and took three offices within the building. 🏢

Iconology has been a valued partner of the Race of Champions since 2011, providing high-end technology to ensure that all advanced technology and new streaming services have access to a super fast and reliable network throughout the event. Iconology has assisted with the following locations over the years: Dusseldorf 2011, Bangkok 2012, Barbados 2014, London 2015, Miami 2017 & Riyadh 2018. 🏎️

Chris Farnfield became the Managing Director at Iconology. With his extensive experience and expertise, Chris has been an integral part of our team since 2012 and is now leading the company towards a brighter future. Being passionate about his home areas of Folkestone, Canterbury, Hythe, and Ashford in Kent, Chris is excited to contribute to the growth and development of the local community and help local businesses. 🙋♂️

We relocated to our current location in Newingreen to accommodate our growth and to access better facilities. Our new location is conveniently situated adjacent to our client, Holiday Extras who are amazing people to work near. 🏡

We had so much fun working with Cognitive on our office mural in Newingreen! They documented some key moments from Iconology’s past and the result is amazing.
