Introduction
An artwork in a remote location needed 24/7 CCTV monitoring to provide around the clock surveillance
Site Survey & Specification
Our technicians carried out a pre-installation site survey to assess:
- The artwork location
- Connection points for power and network
- Camera installation points
- Customer requirements to ensure the artwork was not impacted by the install and that the install stay discreet
Equipment installation
We procured and installed a Reolink Go Series G330.
It is powered by solar panel with a battery strong enough to last all night.
Data is stored locally, in an SD card, as well as in the cloud
Internet connection provided by a data SIM card
Installation & Setup
The camera was installed externally, on a metal railing, in a discreet location to avoid taking attention away from the artwork with the solar panel installed adjacent
It was attached to the railing using weather proof jubilee clips
The camera was monitored for a few days, to check battery levels to ensure constant coverage
System Design and Operation
The camera provided constant CCTV coverage that could be accessed remotely. This provided the customer with security and comfort knowing if anything happened, at any time, it would be caught on camera.
